     The Gulf of Roses is situated in the coast of Alt Empordà, north of Costa Brava, it's open to the Mediterranean Sea between the south of Cap de Creus peninsula, and the mountains of Montgrí.

This Gulf is the principal of the Catalan coast it's a natural exit to the sea. It takes the name of the city of Roses, the most important city of his coast. Also it is called Roses's Bay. At 15km there is the tourist city of Figueres and next to the nature reserve of Cap de Creus.
